About
In Person | Five Points MARTA Station FREE This Jane’s Walk , taking place in Downtown Atlanta, focuses on themes of Art & Architecture, Environment, History & Culture. Interested in discovering how design tells the story of Atlanta’s rich history? Join us for the Downtown Atlanta Type Walk, a free, fun-filled exploration of the city’s history told through design! Led by the talented Sue Youngblood, we’ll kick off the adventure at the SW corner of the intersection of Alabama St. and Forsyth St. diagonal from the Five Points Marta station and take a stroll. From there, we’ll lean into the vibrant Fairlie-Poplar historic district, uncovering the stories hidden in street signs, building names, graffiti, and plaques. As we walk through the iconic Five Points intersection (no, not Little Five Points) and up Peachtree Street, we’ll explore how design shapes the narrative of the evolving city, ending with a refreshing stop at Hardy Ivy Park.
