About
Using your own vehicle and gas, you will deliver meals to our clients in the metro-Atlanta area. The average route is 1.5-3 hours in length. Deliveries can include up to 15 boxes of various sizes. ONLY THE DRIVER SHOULD SIGN UP. If you have a passenger that needs their hours recorded, please provide their name to one of our staff members. If you can take a longer route, please let us know by texting 678-306-6649.
Requirements:
• Ensure you have room in your trunk and backseat for 12-15 large cardboard boxes. Please clear all clutter to or other items from trunk and backseat.
• Drivers must be 21 years old or older. Must have valid license and vehicle liability insurance. Please ensure Open Hand has an up-to-date copy of your automobile insurance card.
• Please bring a charged cell phone and a pen!
Day of the Volunteer Event
• Download the Delivery App, WorkWave Route Manager. We will provide you the login creditentials when you arrive. It is not your volunteerhub information.
• Please pick up at the loading bay at the Rockdale Rd Entrance of Open Hand Atlanta. Text us when you have arrived, but DO NOT enter the warehouse. We will then bring your meals to the car.
• After your route, you will only need to return if you have a cart or undelivered meals.
Age requirement: 21 or above.
