About
Sweetwater Creek State Park is one of Atlanta's best quick escapes. The red-blazed factory ruins trail leads past the roofless remains of the New Manchester Manufacturing Company (burned by Sherman in 1864) to a series of shoals and a small waterfall. The park also has a fishing lake and a longer yellow trail into the backcountry.
