4th Thursday January - October Over 50 species of fireflies are found in Georgia – the most of any U.S. state! Like a lot of native insects, fireflies are unfortunately in decline. Learn what we can do, one yard at a time, to support the cherished, charming insects. Rose is a professional nature educator who has worked for many nature-based organizations in the Atlanta area. With a passion for nature, Rose is a liaison for the Georgia Bat Working Group, a certified Master Birder, Master Herpetologist, Venomous Snake Handler, and a Trees Atlanta Tree Keeper. Join CNC in person in the Plaza Conference Room for a potluck dinner (bring a dish to share) at 7PM and then an exciting speaker on the natural world at 7:30PM. Make new friends and connections at Nature Club while learning all at the same time. Ages 16+. 10 general public / $5 CNC Members. Advanced Registration Required by the Wednesday, March 25.
