About
Thomas Paine (1737–1809) was an English-American political writer and revolutionary who, through his influential pamphlets, became a key intellectual figure in both the American and French Revolutions. A fierce advocate for liberty, democracy, and human rights, his accessible writing style and powerful arguments profoundly shaped the revolutionary politics of his era. As always in our subject based book club, we will have several books about Thomas Paine on display and available for checkout. On discussion day, we will show a video about the accepted historical facts on the subject. And of course, pastries and coffee will be supplied during the event. Northside Branch hosts this free Fulton County Library event in Atlanta, with 11:00 AM-1:00 PM, room or area: Meeting Room. Expect a library-led reading, book, or discussion format rather than a ticketed performance. The library event page is the source for current capacity and access notes.
