About
SANDY SPRINGS AREA WRITERS: You're invited to join the twice-monthly group at the Sandy Springs Library! Local authors share their works for supportive feedback and critique. We have novelists, poets, memoirists, and humorists. Writers of all skill levels are welcome to attend, share their current works in progress, and gain helpful tips from other writers. Whether you're writing the great American novel, telling your story, write pop culture reviews, or compiling stories for a cookbook, we're here to help! We also sometimes do quick-fire writing challenges, like crafting a perfect opening sentence, coming up with an intriguing title, or writing a three-sentence story. We have also done special workshops (like getting started in self-publishing). This group meets on the first and third Mondays every month (except when the library is closed for a holiday) at 6:00. Sandy Springs Branch hosts this free Fulton County Library event in Sandy Springs, with 6:00 PM-7:00 PM. Expect an instructional library program, help session, or learning activity led by staff or community partners. The library event page is the source for current capacity and access notes.
