About
June 22-24 Join the Carlos Museum for a three-day interactive institute exploring how works of art and museums can foster SEE (Social, Emotional, and Ethical) Learning in your classroom. Guided by museum educators and a certified SEE Learning facilitator, teachers will engage with the museum’s permanent collection and special exhibition Compassion: What Moves You? examining what motivates us, moves us, and gives us purpose in the interconnected lives we lead. Participants will learn practical strategies for using art from diverse cultures and time periods to strengthen visual literacy, build social awareness and vocabulary, and cultivate empathy, self-awareness, self-management, and relationship skills. Through dialogue-based inquiry, mindfulness practices, and collaborative creative exercises, educators will leave with ready-to-use tools that support emotional intelligence and compassionate action.
