Please join me for a hike at Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park. We will hike over Big Kennesaw, Little Kennesaw, and Pigeon Hill to Burnt Hickory Road and then turn around and go back the way we came. On the way back will be self-paced. You must be familiar with the trail. We will take a hydration break at the 1 mile marker, Burnt Hickory and as needed. This is a moderate paced D4 hike 1600+ feet elevation gain. This is a challenging hike with rocky/rooty terrain and the elevation gain. To receive credit, you must complete hike in 2 1/2 hours. You must have recent strong AOC D3 or greater experience to participate in this hike. If you do not have this experience with the club, you will be moved to the waitlist. We will meet in front of the visitor center. Please plan accordingly to arrive at the hike 10-15 minutes early so we can start the hike on time. Please note that Kennesaw requires a daily $5.00 pass, Kennesaw annual pass $40.00, or the America the Beautiful Pass. You can purchase your pass in the visitor center, at the automated machine in the parking lot, or online.
