About
If you enjoy the music of groups like Peter, Paul & Mary; The Kingston Trio, The Limelighters, The Weavers, Pete Seeger, The Clancy Brothers & Tommy Makem and other folk groups and singers from the 50’s and 60’s, then you’ll enjoy the music of “Captain” George Hergen. George grew up in New York City and found his way to Greenwich Village during the 1960’s. George learned much of this music first hand from the artists who made it famous. Come join us for a trip back to the music that made Hootenannies popular gatherings throughout the country. Feel free to just listen or to sing along. Folk music is “the music of the people” and it’s all fun. East Roswell Branch hosts this free Fulton County Library event in Roswell, with 1:30 PM-3:30 PM. Expect a library screening or film-discussion format rather than a commercial movie-theater listing. The library event page is the source for current capacity and access notes.
