Hitchcock Movie Showing! The Queen of Crime and Mystery Meets the Master of Suspense in this film series at the Alpharetta Branch Library! During the month of May, patrons are encouraged to vote between five of Hitchcock's greatest movies. Voting for the movie will be closed on May 21st, and the most voted on movie will be announced on May 22nd, followed by this screening on May 28th. Hitchcock is known for his mastery of psychological suspense, the thriller genre, and his use of unique camera techniques to show a variety of viewpoints and instill fear. On May 26th, we will be hosting an additional Agatha Christie movie night! The films will be adaptations of Agatha Christie's most well-renowned novels from across the decades! As one of the world's biggest bestselling authors, you certainly won't want to miss her movies! If you are interested in our Chsitie movie night, it will be happening at the same time in the same place on May 26th. Make sure to vote for both a Christie film and a Hitchcock film to ensure you see your pick on the big screen. During the film, there will be a raffle for sponsored prizes based on film trivia, so stay 'til the end, and get your thinking caps on! Participants of the raffle must be 21 years or older. Throughout the month of May, there will additionally be the Alpharetta Library's "Shelf Suspicions" game, relying on the expert sleuth work of our lovely library patrons! Complete the game and submit your finished "shelf suspicions" game sheet for a chance to win a prize! Alpharetta Branch hosts this free Fulton County Library event in Alpharetta, with 3:00 PM-6:00 PM, room or area: Auditorium.
