About
In-person at MODA June 17, 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM Join us on June 17 for a day about the women who built this city and preserving the stories of the women in your life. Start the morning on foot with History Afoot Atlanta, walking through Midtown and meeting the women whose work shaped the neighborhood you're standing in. Then spend the afternoon designing a memory — making sure the stories nearest and dearest to you don't disappear the way so many others have. Guided by Stef Alicia McCalmon, you'll choose your subject and design something that holds her story. Written, illustrated, or both. Worth keeping for a long time. What to Expect: To walk through a neighborhood you thought you knew and see it completely differently. To meet women whose names you've never heard and won't forget. To slow down and make something by hand -- something that carries weight precisely because you made it. To leave with an artifact. Not a worksheet, not a takeaway. Something closer to an heirloom.
