Let's enjoy another morning ramble through Mason Mill and Lullwater Parks. There will be a variety of terrain, including sections that are narrow, gnarly, and on steep slopes. The hike will be a mix of the South Peachtree Creek path, various rougher trails, and a loop through Lullwater. Highlights include two city champion trees, the Candler mansion in Lullwater, and the former Decatur waterworks. As stated above, there are some steep slopes with rocks, roots and gravel. This is not a fast or training hike; we will maintain an average speed of 2.6 to 2.8 mph. Please note; we will meet in Mason Mill Park at the back parking lot by the tennis courts – go past the playground and continue until the drive ends. Please arrive a few minutes early to allow time for introductions.
