About
In this tree tour, we’ll talk the different ways that the outdoors—and specifically the Atlanta Beltline Arboretum - makes us healthy. We’ll cover the health benefits of the outdoors, public parks, and green spaces; of certain plants and herbs; and even the Fountain of Youth! We’ll discuss the wealth behind and generated by the Atlanta Beltline Eastside Trail, and who stands to benefit from its health effects. We’ll tie all of that in with Atlanta history, stretching back through the city’s founding and up through the present day.About the Tour Guide: Originally from outside of Pittsburgh, PA, Dan Rzewnicki is an Emory University resident in internal medicine with a background in public health who loves the outdoors. When not working, you might find him hiking, biking, or practicing yoga. He lived right off this section of the Atlanta Beltline when he moved to the City, so it’s a special place that he often explored on foot, was his launching pad to learn more about Atlanta history, and was even where he spent quite a bit of time getting to know his now fiancée, Megen.REGISTER HEREAdditional InformationGetting There: We will meet outside Inman Perk Coffee: 240 North Highland Avenue Northeast, Atlanta, GA 30307 There are many options for paid street parking as well as paid lot parking near the start of the tour.
