We all want to be heard. What happens when sharing vulnerable personal stories becomes a competition? In this partially scripted metaperformance, Slammed! explores the open mic storytelling movement, raising the stakes as we raise the stage. Step into an immersive experience as we visit various open mic shows, hearing stories, getting scores, listening generously and evaluating for ourselves what is gained and what is lost when we put stories into a matrix of numeric value for all to consume.
