Sam Carter is the Puppet Shop Foreman at Center for Puppetry Arts and founder of Muelworx , a custom fabrication services company. He has spent twenty years working in the Atlanta film industry fabricating props, set pieces, puppets, and more for films like "Black Panther" and television shows like "Stranger Things". Sam is a "jack of all trades", perpetually curious and looking to add new skills to his toolkit, and thrives on projects outside of his comfort zone. In this panel discussion, Sam and his fellow fabricators, Chris Brown, Erin Dukes, and Jim Stacy, will discuss how being a multi-potentialite, dabbling in several different crafts and mediums, creates not only real world job opportunities for creatives looking for work in film and television, but also creates a rich and unique skill set for life. Presenters: Sam Carter (Muelworx Custom Fabrications), Chris Brown (Mad Genius!), Erin Dukes (Multipotentialite), and Prof. Jas. M. Stacy ( Woodland Giant Shipworks)
