From ancient desert cities and the flowing strength of the River Suir to the vibrant cultural pulse of the Harlem Renaissance, and the dance halls of Mexico, this program moves across geographies and histories to reveal landscapes both physical and emotional. With music by Valerie Coleman, Kyle Gann, Aaron Copland, Percy Grainger, Arturo Márquez, words by Langston Hughes and a US premiere by Judith Ring.
