Last Exit: A Screening of Films and Film Sounds by Tom Dixon Friday 4/24 1-2:30pm White Hall 208 Last Exit is a screening of films and film sounds by Tom Dixon , Emory Arts Fellow in Film and Media. The works included in the program circle around such figures as the road, the mystical, and the spectacle, drawing out sounds from beneath the surface of the image and beckoning to the beyond. On display will be Tom's dual artistic practice as a filmmaker and sound designer/mixer; the program oscillates accordingly between films he's authored and films he's mixed and contributed sounds to this academic year. Featuring shorts by Eislow Johnson , Masha Vlasova , Alan Medina, and Gillian Waldo & Sam Taffel, plus works in progress by Tom Dixon & Matt Feldman. Followed by a Q&A and conversation with Professor Gregory Zinman .
