Sam Carter is currently the Puppet Shop Foreman at Center for Puppetry Arts and founder of Muelworx, a custom fabrication services company. His background in fabricating props, set pieces, puppets, and more for film, television, live events, and art installations turned him into an "artistic jack of all trades". As a writer, producer, and director, Sam is always looking to add new skills to his toolkit, and thrives on new projects outside of his comfort zone. He will discuss how working in these different mediums has created in-demand skills that cross-over into real world job opportunities for hands-on creatives who find themselves looking outside of film and television for work, and how these skills have given him the confidence to know that he has what it takes to conquer any new challenge.
