Tonight, we’ll be talking about The Third Grave by Lisa Jackson. After a hurricane sweeps through Georgia, there’s a grisly find in the cellar of an old mansion. There are two skeletons, with an empty space next to them. There are local rumors that the burial site could be the resting place of the Duval sisters, three young girls who went to the movies with their older brother, Owen, twenty years ago, and never returned. Forensics confirms that the remains belong to two of the sisters, Holly and Poppy Duval, but not the third, the youngest sister, Rose. Detective Pierce Reed’s investigations are regularly interfered with by local reporter Nikki Gillette who has followed this cold case for a long time. And this is where it gets complicated.
