Workshop at TechLab: Code and Craft Embroidery Workshop with ASC

Join TechLab and the Asian Student Center to celebrate women’s history month. We will be making embroidered sunglasses cases using the bargello embroidery method. Embroidery has long been considered merely women’s work, but it plays a large role in our material culture and the development of computer science. Fiber arts like embroidery, knitting, and weaving helped to form the foundation of how original and early computing was developed and can still help us to understand complex concepts in mathematics. This workshop is open to 15 participants and registration is encouraged.
