Handbuilding is the art of making ceramic forms without the use of a potter’s wheel. Students will study the basics of building pots by pinch, coil, and/or slab built techniques, and learn the important safety guidelines and procedures of ceramics studio. For all virtual and onsite Pottery classes, the tuition includes a $98 pass-through supply fee, which covers the cost of one bag of stoneware, raku, or Lizella earthenware clay (first bags of porcelain are available for an additional $5 cost), glazes, and 2,000 cubic inches of firing space.
