Intermediate wheel classes focus on the process of soda firings. Students will learn about the effects of introducing these sodium compounds into a gas fired kiln, and the many variables that can happen on pottery when it is fired this way. For all virtual and onsite Pottery classes, the tuition includes a $98 pass-through supply fee, which covers the cost of one bag of stoneware, raku, or Lizella earthenware clay (first bags of porcelain are available for an additional $5 cost), glazes, and 2,000 cubic inches of firing space.
