POT 05 – Beginning Handbuilding (Vizurraga)

The first 3-4 weeks we will make cups, bowls and vase forms using basic pinch, coil and soft slab construction methods. We will also make cylindrical roller stamps and other stamps that can be used to add texture and pattern to work. In the remaining classes, we will focus on building more complex forms. By making multiple pieces, stacking, and joining them together, we will construct pieces inspired by the human figure and four-legged creatures.
