About
Join a Dunwoody Nature Center educator for a cozy, family-friendly adventure into the diverse homes and habitats that shelter our local wildlife. From the forest floor to the tree canopy, we'll discover how animals find food, water, shelter, and space—and why each creature needs something just a little bit different to thrive. This free, interactive program explores the four basic needs of every animal, the unique features of different habitats around the nature center, and the clever ways animals build, borrow, or find their homes. We'll search for real animal dwellings along the trails, examine nests and dens up close, and discover how you can create wildlife-friendly habitats right in your own backyard.
