Beginning Drawing w/ Pastels FriAM - Jamie

BEGINNING DRAWING W/ PASTELS / Jamie Ballay Fridays from 10 AM - 1 PM April 3rd - May 29th 9 Weeks Class Fee: $225 This class will explore the creative process of making images using pastel and charcoal. We will work with a variety of subjects including still life, landscape, portraits. These will be our starting point for exploring picture making, learning about composition, form, proportion, and color. Our goal is to gain confidence and finesse in drawing from observation while leaving room for imagination. Working in charcoal and pastel will allow us to focus on quickly creating form and easily exploring color. The sessions will begin with a focus on a quick and gestural approach that over the weeks will lead to more developed considered drawings. Throughout the sessions I will do some in-class demonstrations. I will also do some drawing along with the class, because I think sharing in the work builds rapport and demystifies the process of creation. We will also explo
